2013 Open House/Wine and Beer Gala

The Animal Care Clinic 2013 Open House and Wine and Beer Gala is approaching!  June 16th from 2-6 PM, we will have our doors open for anyone to stop by for wine tasting, hospital tours, educational displays, yummy local food, and a silent auction. This year proceeds will be benefiting Pacific Wildlife Care, Guide Dogs of America, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and Partners in Equine Therapy!

Pacific Wildlife Care provides care and rehabilitation of injured, orphaned and pollution-damaged wildlife in San Luis Obispo County, California. They also work to raise public awareness for wildlife and related issues.

Guide Dogs of America has always been a group near to our hearts since our Practice Administrator, Stephanie Ruggerone has raised 21 puppies to be trained as guide dogs!!!  Guide Dogs of America trains dogs specifically for blind and visually impaired men and women free of charge to the recipient!

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society:  Dr. Markoff is a survivor of lymphoma, and one of our previous ACC team members, Tiffany, was recently diagnosed with lymphoma – we want to support Tiff as she is fighting this battle today.

Partners in Equestrian Therapy:  Hospital Administrator Stephanie Ruggerone and her daughter Sara are deeply involved in this program that uses horses to help rehabilitate people with both physical and mental disabilities.

This event has been lots of fun in the past and we are hoping for another good turnout this year!  We are hoping to beat the $12,000 raised last year!  Our silent auction item list is growing everyday and so far has some really cool stuff! 

We’ll have smoked fish again from Ciopinot and appetizers from KunFusion Food Truck!
