Jenny joined the ACC team in April 2025 as part of the Support Technician team. As she continues her undergraduate studies in Animal Science at Cal Poly, she is excited to expand her knowledge and experience in veterinary care. Growing up in Bakersfield with Vietnamese roots, Jenny’s interest in animals led her to begin her journey in the veterinary field in high school through the Veterinary Technology program at ROC. This experience introduced her to the basics of animal care, where she gained valuable exposure working with companion animals.
Cal Poly has provided Jenny with a unique opportunity to expand her skills by working with a diverse range of species, allowing her to deepen her understanding of animal care across various settings. She occasionally volunteers at CALM, a zoo, when visiting home, staying connected to her passion for animal care and community service. With a strong interest in wildlife conservation, Jenny plans to pursue veterinary school after completing her undergraduate degree, with aspirations of working in wildlife care or becoming a traveling veterinarian, ideally in a nature-filled area like Washington or Oregon away from bustling city life.
In her free time, Jenny enjoys working out at the gym, going for runs, cooking, and painting. She has a German Shepherd named Athena at home, but also grew up taking care of bunnies and chickens. She is passionate about helping animals and the environment, believing that humans have a responsibility to understand and care for the creatures with whom we share the planet. She believes that by gaining a deeper comprehension of animal needs and behaviors, we can better serve their well-being and give back in meaningful ways.
