Dr. Jennifer Riedel, is the newest veterinarian at Animal Care Clinic, joining our team in January 2024. Originally from Michigan, Jennifer’s journey into veterinary medicine is as unique as her commitment to the well-being of animals.
With a background in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Air Force Academy, Jennifer’s career took an unexpected turn when she encountered Public Health Officers and veterinarians during her tenure as an Air Force engineer. Intrigued, she began volunteering at a local veterinary hospital, where she witnessed both the joys and challenges of animal care.
Driven by a passion for continuous learning, Jennifer embraces the ever-evolving field of veterinary medicine. Even with 17 years of practice, she remains dedicated to staying abreast of new techniques and advancements. She earned her DVM from The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine. She is excited to have completed certification in veterinary medical acupuncture and is now able to use acupuncture to provide a multi-modal approach to alleviate pain and improve mobility and wellness.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Jennifer shares a fulfilling life with her husband Dale and their two dogs, Mojo the English Springer Spaniel and Maggie the German Shepherd. Outside the clinic, she enjoys an active lifestyle with interests ranging from running and hiking to swimming. Jennifer and Dale also share a love for exploring local cuisine, indulging in wine and whiskey tasting, and reveling in their shared enthusiasm for cars and motorcycles. With her diverse background and unwavering dedication, Jennifer brings a unique perspective to our veterinary team, ensuring the well-being of our furry companions.
