Animal Care Clinic is the largest animal hospital located in San Luis Obispo, California. We care for small animals including dogs, cats, and pocket pets (rats, mice, rabbits, and guinea pigs). With five on staff Registered Veterinary Technicians we care for your pets from pediatrics to geriatrics with state-of-the-art technology in medicine and surgery. We are also known for services we offer including: ultrasound, dentistry, surgery, chemotherapy, pain management, behavior consultations, comprehensive anesthesia monitoring, dog and cat boarding kennel, and live-in nurses for round the clock care. January is Train Your Dog Month!

The Association of Pet Dog Trainers has event along with free online webinars and Facebook chats planned throughout the month of January 2012.  Click here to visit their website to see their schedule of events, fun contests, resources for pet owners, dog trainer career information or search for a local APDT trainer.  Feel free to call us and we can refer you to local trainers we’ve worked with, inquire about our puppy kindergarten, or ask any questions.  For more complicated cases, our own Dr. Evans has a special interest and some extra training in behavior, and she can consult with you about problems like behavioral litter box issues, separation/noise anxiety, vocalization and more.

This is an honor we are very excited about! The American Animal Hospital Association accredits small animal hospitals through a voluntary process with some very high standards. Meet our newest addition to our veterinary team, Dr. Bisson!

Dr. Allison Bisson joined our doctor team in August 2011.  She earned her DVM from U.C. Davis and looks forward to pursuing certification from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in feline and canine medicine and working as a veterinarian on the Central Coast. She is very familiar with Animal Care Clinic as she worked for us as a veterinary assistent while attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
