Continuing education is what keeps Animal Care Clinic always prepared to offer the best services to our beloved patients. All of our staff strive to keep at the forefront of the ever changing medical and behavioral aspects of the various animal sciences. Our longtime puppy kindergarten and puppy etiquette class instructor, Stephanie Ruggerone, recently earned the title of CPDT-KA from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.

Until 2001 there was no true certification process for canine dog training professionals. Under the leadership of noted veterinarian, behaviorist and author, Dr. Ian Dunbar, a group of internationally renowned dog training professionals and animal behaviorists worked for three years to research and develop the first comprehensive examination to certify professional dog trainers. The examination is offered only twice a year and Stephanie joins over 3000 certificants worldwide. Candidates who pass the exam earn the title of Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed and must earn continuing education credits or take the exam every three years to retain their certification.

We are proud of the dedication our staff exhibits daily to improving the human-animal
bond and congratulate Stephanie in earning the designation of CPDT-KA to her
accomplishments.
